About Arthur Auscher

Was called up in WWI. Served in the Austro-Hungarian Army as flagger, a rank between cadet and lieutenant. Fell at 20 years on 10.10.1916 at Doberdo, Italy in one of the bloodiest battles between the Italian army and the Austro-Hungarian one. Served in Infantry regiment 61, Company 5 and was decorated with Silver Medal Class 1 for Bravery His remains were brought to Timisoara in January 1917 where he is buried in the Jewish cemetery. Bereaved by grandparents, parents and 5 siblings: Victor, Josef, Sidi, Ernest, Emeric.
