His occupation was that of a pelsenmaker (fur maker) and he had previously lived in Vienna Austria. In Antwerp he lived with his married brother David and worked for him with furs. He remained in Belgium during WWII. He continued to work in the fur trade and his business was Fourrures – Pelleteries importation directe, Bernard SCHAMROTH, 12 Rue Simons, Anvers. In 1956 he married Marie José Gabrielle Philoméne Fransens, daughter of Théophile Fransens and Marie van Deuren. She was born on the 24th March 1917 in Champdeniers France. She was divorced. Her daughter took on the surname Schamroth - Myriam Godts Schamroth

I have found a document showing that my grandfather died in november 1982. He died in a car accident In Zeebrugge/Knokke-Heist. Most probably he suffered from a heart attack and caused an accident.

He is burred in Putte, NL Putseweg 22 – 24 Putte Woensdrecht.
