Byron Nelson Parker

Byron Nelson Parker born October 16, 1901 at Joseph Utah. I, Byron was raised by my brothers and sisters and my father, because my mother died when I was five years of age. I enjoyed playing in the orchard and in the grain bins, but most of all I enjoyed riding on the west Mountain with my father,

I liked horse back riding, horse racing, hunting, herding cattle, At age sixteen, I joined the marines and was stationed on the Virin Island, for eighteen months. I attended school at Joseph, Utah and for a short time at Logan, Utah. The one teacher that stands out most in my mind and that I linked very much was Bishop Arnford Christianson.

Paul Leavitt and I were working in Salt Lake City. It was then that I started dating Edna Dalton. She was attending Keaster Sewing School at the time. When sister Hulda died, Edna and I went back to Joseph to attended the funeral. We decided not to go back to Salt Lake. Instead we were married in Richfield, Utah July 19, 1924.

Our first child was born in Richfield Utah. We named him Trent Joe Parker, born De. 29, 1925. He later married Edna Pappa and they had six children that I will list in order:

Trudy born, Feb. 25 1949, Anne Born, Nov. 25 1950;

Trent Jared Born, Nov 16 1952: Wendy born Apr. 12 1955:

Lewis Rulon born, Aug. 1 1956: Wendy born, Apr 12 1957:

Trent and his family are very active in the church. Trent is a seventy. His line or work is insurance.

Our second child was born in Draper, Utah. We named her Mercedese. She latter married Donald Hall Davis. They had seven children and are expecting their eight. Listed in order:

Kathleen born May 29, 1954:

Twins Joseph Scott and Jolene born Feb, 9 1956;

Paul born 21, 1958. Glen Parker born Nov. 1959 line of work is a claims Adjuster. He is also a seventy

as the second councilor in the Releif Society in her ward.

Maxine is the third child. She was born Mar. 28, 1929.

She later married Arnold John June 28, 1948. They have four children. Douglas Arnold born May 21, 1950; Robert John Feb, Jean born; Mar 19, 1953: Anna Marie born Sep 5, 1954. Maxine works at Medical center at the University of Utah. She is President of the Young woman Mutual in her ward.

Doris is the fourth child. She was born Sept. 29 1930 and she married William Harold Payne Sept. 20 1951. They have six children. Jannete Payne born: Jan 20, 1953 William Glen born Jan 21 1954: Harold Lamar born May 20, 1955: Edward Allen born July 4 1956: Connie born June 23 1958: Brenda born Nov 12 1952, Willie is the former bishop of his ward and is now in the Stake Presidency. Doris was President of the Relief Society of their ward.

The fifth child was another boy names Byron Maurice Born June 10, 1956 in Salt Lake City. He later Married Joyce Polcock Aug 29 1957. They have two children expecting their child in December 1965. they are: Rodney Maurice born Oct 12 1961: Craig Byron Born Dec 1964. Maurice works as

a civil engineer for the city of Los Angeles. They are very active in church work.

The six child was also, another boy name Scott Edward born in Salt Lake June 5, 1943. He has been serving a mission for the churchin England and will be returning in a few days. He also served 6 months in the service. At the time he was called on his mission he was attending the University of Utah. He was majoring in Pharmacy. He, also plans to return in his schooling after his mission.

Last but not least is number seven child. He was named Gregory Allen born Nov. 30 1947, Murray, Utah. He is now attending the Brigham Young University where he is majoring in chemistry. He also, is very active in church work and received a Duty to God Award.
