Together with Karen Moser (1765 - 1826), a shoemakers daughter from Copenhagen, Carl August fathered 11 children with numerous descendants in Norway and Sweden.

1790 (31): Transferred to Hadelandske Kompani
1791 (32): Lives in Sandvika outside Christiania
1792 (33): Moves to Berntsberg under Sander farm by Maridalen lake north of Christiania
1795 (36): Promoted to korporal in Livkompaniet
1796 (37): Promoted to sekondløitnant karakter in Livkompaniet
1797 (38): Promoted to virksom sekondløitnant in Skedsmoske Kompani
1801 (42): Promoted to preimerløitnant in Lierske Kompani
