GEDCOM Note
From Fina-a-grave I just wanted to tell you more about this monument. I am Katarzyna Wenta's great-great granddaughter. This monument was commissioned by her son Michal Wenta (a monsignor for the diocese of Milwaukee and buried under the giant marble slab next to her) and was designed (from photographs), cast and shipped from Italy. She was a woman of devout Roman Catholic faith and piety, and a kind and gentle wife and mother. Her son Michal, in particular, sincerely believed she was a saint and wanted her properly memorialized. I'm not aware of any miracles associated with her monument site, other than it seems to touch visitors very deeply, as evidenced by the many comments/flowers here, and left at the actual site in St. Adalbert's Cemetery 92 years later.
