Charles Caesar Mengé ging 1836 als Missionar der Church Mission Society nach Bombay und wirkte bis 1869 in Nasik, Junir und Malegaon; im Ruhestand lebet er in Stuttgart und betreute im Sommer die anglikanische Gemeinde in Thusis; er starb am 9. April 1885.
Charles Caeser Menge was named after Johannes Menge's patron Carl Caeser von Leonhard. Arrived in Bombay, with Harriet Menge, on board the Thomas Coutts on 22 Jan 1841.
