About Christina Olson
After Olaus' death in 1915, his farm and dwelling in Phelps County were owned jointly by his five children Peter, Agnes, Emma, Andrew and Clarence with probably a "life estate" to Christina. It is interesting to note that in 1937 the farm was valued at approximately $47 an acre when the farm was sold. (Irrigation was started shortly after this date) In 1965, this land, being fully irrigated, had an estimated value of $400 per acre. In 2014 this land might be worth $4000 per acre.
