About David Saul Altschul
GEDCOM Note
David Saul Altschul appears to have been a son of Israel Altschul and Sheyna Taube Mishursky, as:
1. Martha Rubinsky Werbach (a known descendant Sheyna Taube's parents) and David's son Norbert had identified themselves as cousins. 2. His son Norbert's Hebrew name was Nochem, the same name as David's presumed grandfather, Nochem Mishursky.
At least between 1910 and 1920, David worked as a brush salesman for Abraham H. Altschul, a brush manufacturer who was about 15 years older. He was most likely his cousin. Abraham immigrated in 1874 and was married to Frances S. (b. about 1879). In 1910 he lived with his wife and two daughters: Heloise (b. about 1904) and Ruth (b. about 1907). (Souces: WW I Draft Registration Card; 1910 & 1920 US Federal Census; 1925 City Directory)
