Delilah May Boice Asay, 96, died Friday, April 1, 1983 in the North Big Horn Nursing Home in Lovell where she had been a resident for the past month. She was born August 31, 1886 in Dayton, Idaho, the daughter of Martin Calvin and Louisa Boice. She married Adelbert Asay October 5, 1903 in Lovell, Wyoming and they have made their home here since. Mrs. Asay loved her family and was fond of telling her grandchildren stories of pioneer days. She was also an accomplished seamstress and loved sewing and knitting.

Survivors include four sons, Percy Boice Asay of Grants Pass, Oregon, Edwin Boice Asay of Spanish Fork, Utah, Merril Boice Asay of Lovell, Wyoming, and Calvin Boice Asay of Muskogee, Oklahoma, four daughters, Mrs. Hyrum (Gladys) Blackburn, Mrs. G.D. McCaffrey (Zela) both of Lovell, Mrs. Walter (Mae) Robb of Cowley, Wyoming, and Mrs. Charles (Helen) Shumway of Vernal, Utah and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Bertha, and two sons, Adelbert Boice and Albert Boice.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 7, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lovell, Wyoming Stake LDS Chapel with Bishop Robert Hawley officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell is in charge of arrangements.
