Dorothy Carew was the daughter of John Carew, Knt., of Crowcombe, Somerset, Sheriff of Pembroke, 1622-3, and Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Southcott.[1]
Dorothy married Thomas Thomas, Esq., of Llanbradach and Rhydlavar, oldest son of William Thomas and Joan, daughter and heiress of Lewis Llewelyn by Joan, daughter of Howel Mathew.[1]
Thomas and Dorothy (Carew) Thomas had four sons, including William, Esq., and two daughters, including Elizabeth. Thomas Thomas, Esq., died between 1664 and 1667 (will date/proved date).[1]
