About Douglas Price Trollip

Lt. James D. Moses (aged 28) and pilot 2 Lt. Douglas Price Trollip (aged 23), 57 Squadron RFC/RAF, reported missing 1 April 1918 following a bombing duty in DH4 #A7872 near Bapaume.

RAF records maintain these 2 flight crew status as "missing" and their names are duly inscribed on the Monument to the Missing of the Air Services at Arras. Historian Peter Kilduff reveals that German Air Force records attribute the downing of this aircraft to Ltn. Hans Joachim Wolff of Jasta 11, Jagdgeschwader von Richtofen, near Grevillers.
