About Edward Biddle
Edward comes from Alveston Thornbury Gloucester England, he and his wife Annie Leach, also of Alveston England, emmigrated to NZ in 1841 on the Katherine Forbes ship with their eldest boy Edgar. The ship landed at Petone, Wellington. The family settled in Mt Eden, Auckland and Edwards occupation was listed as a Gardner. They had more children further on with the addition of John William, Lucy and Benjamin (Benedict) our ancestor who was born in 1848 then their youngest sister Hannah Annie. Annie Leach died in 1850 a year or so after the birth of Hannah, she was only 32 years old. Hannah was taken back to England after this where she grew up.
