Sarah Leonard was born the daughter of Ebenezer Leonard and his wife Esther Amos.[This Leonard family is qualified for membership in the Mayflower Society] On 13 February 1752 she married Phineas Herrick [1730-1776]. They had twelve [12] children. After Herrick's death, Sarah married Captain Nathanial Daniels in 1777. They moved from MA to VT shortly after the close of the Revolutionary War. Sarah Leonard Herrick Daniels is a qualified Sons of the American Revolution Patriot ancestor [submitted by Peter Herrick Rowley]– for her provision of room/board for Burgoyne's officers after their capture at Saratoga as they were being taken to Boston, under the guard of her son, Elijah Herrick [also a SAR Patriot]
