In the will she is called Elizabeth Billing. Though Concord records contain numerous Billings entries, no marriage of Elizabeth Rice to a Billings appears. JohnBillings is, however, recorded as having married there, 11 Nov. 1661, Elizabeth Hastings (with seven children born between 1662 and 1677), and, again, probably the same man, John Billings, is married, 31 Dec. 1685, to Elizabeth Lamson (no children subsequently recorded for them in Concord). In the Concord records there is no indication of who this Elizabeth Lamson was, and the marriage record does not state that she was a widow, thigh the fact that she married a man who had been first married twenty-four year previously strongly suggest that she, too, had a previous marriage to her credit. Indeed, Middlesex Deeds, vol. 9, p. 78, refer, in 1683, to a marriage of Elizabeth Lamson to Peter Wright, permission being given by her mother Elizabeth Lamson. O. E. Lamson's "Memorial of Elder Ebenezer Lamson" p. 17, shows that Paul Rice was uncle to Ebenezer Lamson (Joseph2, Barnabas1), though the author did not know how, not anything at all about the wife of Joseph2 Lamson, Ebenezer's mother. Joseph2 Lamson died intestate in February 1679, death not recorded in Concotd. Where he died I am not prepared to state, but certainly in Middlesex County, for there is on file (Middlesex Probate file 13536) an undated inventory to his estate coming to £40/11 (and perhaps some pence -- the paper is here torn), made by Edward Wright, John Barker, and Roger Chandler. The file contains no record of date of granting administration nor any other paper. If, however, Elizabeth Rice had married Joseph Lamson for her first husband, that would make Paul Rice uncle to Ebenezer Lamson. John Billings diedin Concord 31 March 1704, so Elizabeth was a widow for the second time when her father name her in his will.

Elizabeth's children:

Joseph, d. in Concord in 1743; m. there, 18 Aug. 1686, Elizabeth Adams.

Abigail, m. in Concord, 11 Feb. 1700/1, Abraham Shepard.

Ebenezer, m. in Concord, 19 April 1698, Sarah Hartwell, b. 12 April 1677, d. 13 Nov. 1715, daughter of John and Priscilla (Wright) Hartwell.

Hannah, m. 7 Dec. 1709 Henry Sparks.

Mary, b. about 1679; d. 25 June 1711, aged 32; m.
