We know less of the descendants of SERGT. JACOB and ELIZABETH (CORNWELL), than of any in this generation. His tombstone is in the old cemetery, Middletown, Conn. He was sent in the expedition to Canada, in 1709. He never regained his health. The first-born is supposed to have died in infancy, although there is no record of date of birth or death, and of JACOB 2d, the only other son there was no issue.
