Eve de Grey

Burke, Cokayne, Dugdale and several other sources (including Robert Glover, Somerset Herald 1571-1588, who had a better reputation than most Tudor heralds, for whatever that's worth) agree that Walter de Beke married in 1222 one Eve, niece of Walter de Grey, Archbishop of York Walter de Grey, Archbishop of York . But most sources do not name her parents, and of those who do, no two agree. (It is *probable* that she was the daughter of the Archbishop's only documented brother, Sir Robert de Grey, of Rotherfield, but no primary evidence has as yet been found.)

She was certainly NOT the Eve de Grey who married Ralph Murdac, or Andrew de Beauchamp, or William Brito/le Breton.
