About Fausto Barredo
Fausto Barredo was a Filipino businessman. He ran Fabar Inc. ('Fabar' is the concatenation of the first syllables of his name Fausto Barredo), which became the first Philippine company to assemble motor vehicles in the Philippines after WW2. It is recognized for building and operating the first Philippine car assembly plant. It owned the Philippine Studebaker franchise from 1951 to 1966. They also acquired the Philippine franchise for Toyota, which they handled until 1984 (the year Fabar Inc. closed).
