About Felix Militante Araneta
Felix Melitante Araneta, a prominent resident of Molo, Iloilo, was an influencial supporter and financier of the revolutionary movement in the province of Panay, when the Philippine Revolution against Spain broke out in 1896 -1898. Members of this illustrious family strongly supported the Philippine cause for independence, both from Spain and the United States. Felix married Paz Soriano y Ditching, daughter of Don Anselmo Soriano y Flores [Gobernadorcillo of Molo in 1860] and Maria Ditching of Binondo Manila. They had seventeen [17] children. The remains of Felix M. Araneta was laid to rest beside his parents inside the Convent of Molo Church, at the footstep facing the altar. Felix married Paz D. Soriano . Paz was born in Molo, Iloilo Philippines and died in Molo, Iloilo Philippines
