Gopinathan Pillai

1921-2002. Born to Advocate Gopala Kurup and Janaki Amma, completed graduation in History and Law at Trivandrum. Practised as an Advocate at the courts in Mavelikara. Was actively involved in politics all through and right from a young age got fascinated with socialist movement. Represented Mavelikara constituency in the Kerala Legislative Assembly during the period 1967 to 1977.

Was also Chairman of Kerala State Financial Enterprises Ltd., and was also a member of Guruvayoor Devaswom Managing Committee for a long while.
