About Gabriela Cariño Silang
Maria Josefa Gabriela Silang, was the wife of the Ilocano revolutionary leader, Diego Silang. After her husband was assassinated, she took over the troops and valiantly fought against the Spaniards. She and her generals were summarily hanged.
