About Gershon/George Yehuda Brady/Brody
The son of Reb Moshe, He used the name George Alexandrovich Brody and was a soldier in the Czarist armies. He died of injuries from the Russian- Persian War of 1826. He married a maternal granddaughter of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov. They married in 1818. His wife died within a year or so of his death leaving a number of children. The two youngest Golda (Julia) and Aharon (Alexander)were adopted by the von Hauke family- a catholic family of Frankist Jewish background.
