Gervais II first appears as lord of Château-du-Loir about 1067, shortly after the death of his uncle Gervais I. After his death, the lordship passed to his son-in-law count Helias of Maine, and then to the counts of Anjou via Éremburge, daughter of Helias.

Falsely attributed child: Hugues.

Said to be son and successor of Gervais, to have married an illegitimate daughter of an unnamed king of England, and to have died without issue [Anselme 6: 246-7, with no sources given]. There does not seem to be any good reason to accept this information.
