The next documented birth is Sally Barber's 1781 birth in Townshend, VT. (But see below for a full list of their children as recorded over ten yearsafter the fact by the Townshend VT town clerk.)

I believe that the four children born between 1770 and 1781 were not recorded in Warwick because Thomas and Hannah were Baptists and thereforeagainst infant baptism.

Both Hannah and Amzi were of Baptist sympathies at least while in Warwick. The publication "Collections relating to the history and inhabitants ofTownshend, Vermont" contains a chapter about the Second Baptist church which was formed in Townshend in 1827. But on page 249, the writer notes: "Atthe time of the organization of this body, a Baptist church had existed for 17 years [therefore since 1810] at the west village, had maintained itspastor or stated supply, and had occupied its portion of the time in the meeting-house." But there is no list of Barbers or Doolittles mentionedrelative to this Baptist... 7
