Helen was born in 1892 and came to the USA about 1896. She lived in Baltimore, MD. In 1910, she was living at 1737 E. Baltimore St. with relatives Levi and Minnie Edlavich and their children. Levi had come to the USA in 1882 from Russia. Helen is listed as a cousin, meaning she was a first cousin (?) of the children and so possibly a niece of Levi and Minnie. She married John Michaelson about 1916.

She was also apparently a first cousin of Mamie Edlavich (1881-1950) who married a first cousin of her husband John, Isaac Michaelson.

The name Edlavich means "son of Edla."=
