About Henry Bayler
The Historical Marker Database indicates there is a sign posted in the cemetery for Henry and Sarah Bayler. The inscription for Henry reads: "Henry Bayler (1819-1897): Slightly off to your right at approximately the one o'clock position, lies Henry Bayler, Bayler owned a tanning business and quartered troops in his currying shop in York along Water (Pershing) and King Streets." (Location listed is currently [6/14/23] along the Heritage Rail Trail, with the First Saint John's Evangelical Lutheran Church just up King Street, possibly the Lutheran Church Henry and Sarah were noted as having attended in A Biographical History of York County, Pennsylvania.)
