Henry Fletcher

Henry Fletcher was born before 1550. He was the son of William Fletcher.1 He died in 1574.1

Henry Fletcher lived in Cockermouth, Cumberland, England.1 In 1568 he gave Queen Mary of Scots refuge on her flight into England after the defeat of her supporters at the Battle of Langside, giving her a robe of red velvet.1

Mainly a 13th century structure rebuilt in 1360 on the site of a Norman castle dating from 1134. It was badly damaged after being dismantled at the end of the Civil War and although partly restored in the 19th century much of it is still in ruins.

Henry Fletcher was the son of William Fletcher. He died in 1574.
