About Henry E. Gerstley
From the website "Find A Grave":
A graduate of Princeton University and former president of Wilkening Manufacturing Co, a maker of piston rings, Henry was an avid collector of opera scores, fine art and antiques. He was an accomplished piano player and once rented a house to Rudolph Serkin who, in lieu of paying rent, gave Henry piano lessons. Henry served as president of the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia from 1955 to 1972 when he became chairman of the school's board of directors. He served in that position until 1988. He was also very generous and in his will left his opera collection to the Free Library of Philadelphia, a Diago Rivera watercolor "The Lily Vendor" to the Philadelphia Art Museum and one million dollars to the Settlement Music School. He was the brother of the late Ruth Gerstly Hecht
