Rose died at the home of her Aunt Anna Barbara Russell (Whitworth) and Sir Henry Russell 1st Brt. in Calcutta, India, on the 2nd day of March 1800.

Her memory is perpetuated by a poem by Walter Savage Landor (1775 - 1864)
