About Henry Aylmer, 4th Lord Alymer of Balrath
Sir Henry Aylmer, 4th Lord Aylmer was born circa 1750 the son of Captain Henry Aylmer, 3rd Lord Aylmer and Anne Pierce. He married Catharine Whitworth, daughter of Sir Charles Whitworth and Martha Shelley, on 23 February 1774 at Didbrook, Gloucestershire, England. He died on 22 October 1785.
He succeeded to the title of 4th Lord Aylmer, Baron of Balrath, co. Meath [I., 1718] on 7 October 1766. He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Aylmer, of Balrath, co. Meath [I., 1662] on 11 May 1776. On 25 July 1782 he was recommended as "an object of His Majesty's bounty," as he claimed that he was "totally unable to support the dignity of the Peerage."
