About Hulda Charlotte Norquist / Larsson
Mrs. Hulda Norquist, 1124 Madison Avenue, died in St. Francis hospital at 5:45 this morning, Jun 9, 1943, at the age of 73 years. She had been a patient in the hospital for the past two weeks.
Hulda Charlotte Larson was born in Smolund, Sweden, on Feb. 1, 1870 and came to the United States when 17 years old. For a time she lived around Cambridge, IL, later coming to Kewanee where she has resided for many years.
She was married to Charles Blaine who died in 1903. She was married again to Gust Norquist who also preceded her in death in December, 1921.
Survivors include four children, Rueben Blaine, Edna (Mrs. Louis Karau), Alice (Mrs. Troy Hoyt) and Evelyn (Mrs. David Gamble) all of Kewanee. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and three brothers, Frank, Gust and Emil Larson all of Larimore, ND.
Three brothers, a sister and her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Seifert and Smith funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday night

Hulda, 17 yrs. old, with her sister Johanna were the 3rd and 4th members of the family to leave Sweden. They left on 26 Feb 1887, arriving in the USA on 19 Mar1887.
