Was a partner with his brother (Bernhard) in the firm J. [I.] & B. Strakosch. From Prager Abendblatt, Aug. 27, 1867, page 2: "Factory fire. In Brno on the 25th of March in the morning, the sheepswool factory of Messrs I. and B. Strakosch, together with all the stores and equipment, burned to the ground. [Fabriksbrand. In Brünn ist am 25. d. M. Morgens die Schafwollwaarenfabrik der Herren I. und B. Strakosch sammt allen Borräthen und Bersvorrichtungen bis auf den Grund abgebrannt].

Ignatz later set up an individual company in connection with contracts made relating to his marriage to Lina Eisenmann: Business register O. 4160, 4292, 4701, the 5,042th 126 U. Provincial Commercial Court Brno was introduced: on April 10, 1869. The firm Ignatz Strakosch, maker of woolen goods in Brno, registered in the register of the companies for St. individual. III., Pp. 62, noted [that] Leopold Eisenmann, a trader in raw substances in Brno, register[ed] the wedding contract, which between them closed in Brno on June 19, 1867, by the presence of his daughter, a minor, Lina Eisenmann, and Ignatz Strakosch, currently general partner [in] the previously existing firm of J. & B. Strakosch, now owner of the company listed above, individually, Ignatz Strakosch".
