About James Geiger Gibson

James G. GIBSON born Jan. 1836 in Long Island, Jackson County, Alabama. Died Nov. 16, 1904 in Choctaw Nation, IndianTerritory, (now Pittsburgh, County Oklahoma). His first wife name was Priscia 1830 in Georgia. She and James G. had five or six children (I am still trying to get information as to names and dates). Then James G. married Minerva Ann Howard, in 1865 Minerva was born Sept. 1851 in Alabama. Minerva died 1902 in Indian Territory. James G. and Minerva had the following children:

Andrew Jackson GIBSON b Mar. 7, 1868 in Long Island, Jackson County, Alabama died Feb. 14 1943 in Garden Grove, Orange County, California. Andrew married Rose Etta BRYAN Oct. 7, 1888 in Franklin County, Arkansas. Rose Etta BRYAN was born May 6, 1870 in Franklin County, Arkansas, died Mar. 18, 1963 in Garden Grove, Orange County California.

Adam GIBSON b Dec. 24, 1893 in Webb City, Franklin County, Arkansas. Died Nov. 29, 1972 in McAlester, Oklahoma. (at age 78).

Following Minerva’s death James G. married one more time, to Dolly May Bristow Mar. 28, 1903 in the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, (now Pittsburgh County, Oklahoma). This is when the old boy was 67 years old. At the time of their marriage Dolly was 17 years old. They had one child a boy by the name of Henry Dossey GIBSON. This last marriage (to such a youngster) was more that he could take. He died the next year at age 68.
