On 13 Dec 1849, James Ogle bought 125 acres of land which was located on the waters of West Fork of Little Piegeon River - Reagan's Mill Creek (in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park) from William Ogle Senior. Later he sold it to Stephen Huskey on 13 Aug 1857.
James Ogle is listed in the 1837 Tax List of Sevier County, Tennessee.
The family appears in the 1840 and 1850 Fedearal Census of Sevier County, Tennessee.
