About Jane Neel
Jane Lykken Weds Earl Neel in Sunday Ceremony
Another romance between members of the Palm Springs younger set culminated Sunday afternoon when Miss Jane Lykken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lykken, became the bride of Earl Neel, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Neel. Both families are well known and have resided here for many years. The Lykkens in fact came to Palm Springs in 1913 and have maintained a business here since that time. Mr. Lykken has long been active in civic affairs. Both the bride and Neel
have known each other for many years, ever since they were in grade school here, in fact. Only relatives were present at the informal ceremony Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Lykken home in Merito Vista. The Rev. B. B. Weatherall officiated and the bride and groom left shortly after the ceremony on a short honeymoon. From Oul-of-Town Among relatives from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest V. Sutton of Pasadena, Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Edgerton of Piedmont and Mayor and Mrs. Wm. Seddon of San Pedro. Mrs. Sutton and Mrs. Edgerton are sisters of Mrs. Lykken and Mrs. Seddon is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Lykken. The bride is a graduate of Flintridge and attended the University of Southern California for three years. Neel is a graduate of local and Banning Union high, and popular also in the younger group here and is associated with his father in business.
