Cannot find any such person as Jemima Elsworth in this generation

The name of "Eelstown" so often seen in texts about the history of the Ellsworth family has long ago been disproven. There is no such town in Cambridgeshire or even in England nor was there ever.

Research Note

Some sources [2] have suggested that Jeremiah might have been the father of Arthur Aylesworth of Rhode Island. There are no grounds for making this assumption and no reason that a son Aylesworth should change his name from a father's "Ellsworth", when there is no shortage of potential Aylesworth fathers, even if none have been yet identified.
