Jessica Gavigan

Jessica Capshaw is an American actress best known for her role as Jamie Stringer in The Practice and her role as Dr. Arizona Robbins in Grey's Anatomy.

Capshaw is the daughter of actress and producer Kate Capshaw and Robert Capshaw, a sales manager, marketing director, business executive, and high school principal. She is the stepdaughter of filmmaker Steven Spielberg. Capshaw graduated from Harvard-Westlake School in 1994 and Brown University in 1998 with an English degree. She then attended acting classes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London.

In the motion picture, Valentine, she played Dorothy Wheeler.

Capshaw married Christopher Gavigan, CEO of Healthy Child, Healthy World, on May 22, 2004 in East Hampton. On September 8, 2007 she and her husband had their first child Luke Gavigan.

In 2009, Jessica became a regular on the medical drama Grey's Anatomy reunited with The Practice co-star Chyler Leigh and Valentine costar Katherine Heigl. She has just announced she is expecting a second child with Gavigan.
