JOANN GROSS Joann Gross, 81, of 6 Rundle Ave., Piqua, died at 9:55 am Thursday July 28, 2011 at her residence. She was born May 12, 1930 in Trotwood to the late Donald E. and Opal (Devers) Andrews. She married William H. Gross June 13, 1953 in Trotwood; he preceded her in death November 25, 2004. Survivors include two sons, Pastor William (Mary) Gross of Bloomington, Indiana, Thomas (Geri) Gross of O��(TM)Fallon, Illinois; four daughters, Reba (Joe) Horcsik of Middletown, Susan (Ed) Rupright of Covington, Gloria Boyle of Piqua, Linda (Guy) Moore of Peru, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Loren Andrews of Killeen, Texas. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Sandy) Andrews and a sister-in-law, Hedy Andrews. Mrs. Gross was active with the ROTC program at Miami University of Oxford, and had worked in the Shipping Dept. at Hobart Brothers of Troy for many years. She enjoyed camping, particularly at Beaver Valley Resort in Springfield, and enjoyed membership in the Coast to Coast Campground and Resort Club. A service to honor her life will begin at 2:00 pm Sunday July 31, 2011 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain John Shelton officiating. Her family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, Inc., P. O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
