  • Die Myburghs van Suid-Afrika says she died at Kersfontein. This is an historic farm near Hopefield on the west coast: http://www.kersefontein.co.za/ "Originally purchased by settler Martin Melck in 1770, Kersefontein farm, with its fine old Cape Dutch homestead and rambling outbuildings, has been worked by eight generations of the Melck family. " But why was she there?
  • Buried at Myburgh family cemetery at Elsenburg (now an agricultural college). Says she died 4 October 1881, aged 57, "at the Berg River" - this ties in with the Kersfontein location given above (Hopefield is one of the major towns in the area). http://www.eggsa.org/library/main.php?g2_itemId=545352
