John "Jack" David Addams, 67, of Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2002, at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 4, at Speaks Midtown Chapel; burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Friends may call 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Jack was born on April 28, 1935, to William and Vyra Addams in Chanute, KS. He had lived in the Independence area most of his life. He had been employed at Butler Manufacturing for 46 years, retiring in 1999 as a Drafting Engineer. Jack was an avid bowler; he enjoyed Photography, Painting and sports.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, in 1998. He is survived by two sons, Brian Addams and David Addams, and a daughter, Melissa Addams, all of Independence, MO; his mother, Vyra Addams of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Larry Addams of Lee's Summit, MO, and Randy Addams of Texas; one sister, Rosie Spellerberg of Kansas City, MO.(
