John came to Fairfield about 1690, settled at Cohansy, received 200 acres at Fairfield.He was an officer in the Colonial Militia, an Elder in the Fairfield Church, a tax collector, and a freeholder.He had six children with his first wife, Mary DIAMENT, and two with his second wife.

DEATH: The abstract of his will lists his two children, Sarah and Jonathan as being deceased.

His wife, Sarah, was mentioned in the will of John, 21 Dec 1745.
