About John Pendell

John was born to William and Mehitable (Parker) Pendell, in New London, Connecticut, Where he was baptized on Nov 11 1679 in The Church of Christ. He was married at age 25 to Elizabeth (Carpenter) Pendell on June 10 1704 in New London. Children, John Jr. b. about 1705,Elizabeth b. 1709, Jonathan, Sarah b. 1719, and Mehitable baptized 4 18 1714.

Elizabeth John Jr. and Jonathan were all baptized on Mar 9 1711. Elizabeth d. 4 22 1794 at age 85 in Bolton,Conn, Sarah married David Allis on 4 1740 and died 7 5 1781, Mehitable died in a massacre by Indians along with her husband Moses Trim of Bolton Conn, and all of her 6 or 7 children except Ezra and one other who were taken captive to Canada. His brother died in route, but Ezra b. 1746 eventually escaped and went back home. He is said to have killed many Indians during his long life revenge for the killing of his family. He also fought in the Revolutionary War and was very close to his cousin Jonathan Pendell the 4th, who named a son after Ezra's father Moses.
