John Rex b2

John Rex became father's right hand in the family business and was over forty when he married Susan Margaret Muller. He was a friend of the most prominent men at the Cape in that time. He lived in a large house he build in the main street of the village which was a meeting place for all and sundry. Ref George Rex of Knysna by Sanni Metelerkamp (great -grand- daughter)
