About John Stone, I

John Stone, born abt 1664, Rugeley, Staffordshire, England, who married Mary "Nancy" O'Brissell -- It is accepted that he came to America around 1687, but there is no record of that immigration. He married Mary 1687 in Christ Church Parish, Lancaster Co., Va (Middlesex Co. formed 1699 from Lancaster Co.).

<nowiki>--------------------</nowiki> John Stone was the immigrant to the United States.  He was born in Rugeley, Staffordshire, UK    and died in 1737 in Caroline County VA.  His first wife, possibly named Elizabeth, was buried 01/28/1671 in Rugeley, Staffordshire, England.    His second wife was Mary O'Brissell. They were married on 11/10, 1687 in Middlesex County, VA.   Her father, Thomas O"Brissell of Ireland,  owned land in Middlexex County VA in 1686.  In 1725 John received a grant of 175 acres in Caroline County VA., USA
