Capt. John White

William Corker was Burgess for James city (1655-1656), and captain of militia. He married the widow of Captain John White, Burgess for James City, 1641.

Capt John White (died before 1658) married Elizabeth.

Their three children

• 1. John White in his 1679 will leaves property to Mary White, sister, and Lucy Corker, half sister
• 2. Mary White made her will in 1720, apparently unmarried in 1675
• 3. Elizabeth White married Capt. Robert Spencer

page 358 of Encyclopedia of Virginia Biography, Under the Editorial ..., Volume 1 edited by Lyon Gardiner Tyler has John White as also the Burgess for James City in 1641, son of William White, haberdasher of London. [generation skip!] will proved in Surry County, 1679, naming two sisters, Lucy Corker and Mary White.
