GLOVER-AUSTIN
The Manchester Unity Hall, Elizabeth-street, Sydney, was prettily decorated on, July 9th, the
occasion being the wedding of Mr. Harry Glover of Sydney, and Miss Julia Austin, daughter of
the late Mr. Lewis Austin, Noumea, New Caledonia. The Rev. Alexander B. Davis
performed the ceremony. After a short and appropriate address, the Jewish form of marriage
contract was read and a Divine blessing asked upon the happy couple. The bride was attired
in white silk brocade, trimmed with chiffon and pearls, and was conducted to the Chuppa by Mr.
Phillip Abrahams (Darlinghurst). The bride- groom was attended by Mr. David Cohen. The
bridesmaids were Misses Doris Abrahams and Hilda Moss. After the ceremony, the guests sat
down to a wedding breakfast where appropriate toasts were duly honoured, including that of the
bride and bridegroom proposed by the Rev. A. B. Davis. Dancing was happily enjoyed till
midnight. The presents were both costly andnumerous.
