Death: Oct. 7, 1943 Honolulu Honolulu County Hawaii, USA Karl Leslie Cox was a son of Robert T. Cox and wife, Hattie V. Cox of Whitman Co., Washington. He was married on 9/23/1919 in Nezperce Co., Idaho to Mildred Eleanor Weller. They were the parents of the following children:

Karl was one of 98 civilian government employees murdered by the Japanese while being held as prisoners of war. Incident is known as the Wake Island Massacre. He is buried in a mass grave with his comrades, Plot G, Grave 68.
