Klaas Metselaar as shown by the notary public records, for notary public van Herwerden of Den Helder, Noord Holland, Netherlands described above, he is with his brother Pieter on 23 July 1812 the only heir of his parents Cornelis Jacobz Metselaar and Maartje Klaasdochter Klorn (KOLHORN (KLORN)) In the record of his marriage he is called the son of these parents and marries as a 27 year old stable master in Den Helder, Noord Holland, Netherlands on 4 December 1817. He was born in Den Helder, Noord Holland, Netherlands and his name should be found in the baptismal records, however his name does not appear in the register for the years 1789 or 1790. His wife, the 28 year old Trijntje Borst was born in Den Helder, Noord Holland, Netherlands as daughter of Willem Borst and Neeltje KORFF(KORVS).
