Lavern E. 'Vern' Talley, 74, of Venice, Florida and Indian Lake, Ohio, formerly of Springfield, Ohio died April 12, 2012 at Venice Regional Hospital, Venice, Florida following a very brief battle with cancer.

Vern awas born November 15, 1937 to Walter Joseph and Marie Talley.

He grew on a farm in Lansford, North Dakota. He married Muriel Anderson in 1960, and in 1965 moved to Ohio to work for Armco Steel, then Wittenberg, and was District Representative for Lutheran Brotherhood from 1975 to 1996 when he retired. Vern was very proud of his four children and all the grandkids. Vern never knew a stanger and had many special friends

Vern was survived by his loving wife, Muriel, of 52 years, daughter, Luann Jones; sons, Shawn (Leslie), Trevor (Danyell); and Tracy Talley.

And grandchildren, Jessica Jones; Paige (Kyle) Kirby; Tyler and Clay Jones; Nick and Emma Talley; Zachary Brown; AJ Baird; and Candace Brown.

He is also survived by brothers, Cliff, Curtis, Rolland and Dennis Talley; and sister Joan Meyers, and many nieces and nephews and great nephews.
