About Leslie Arthur Palmer, CV
In 2006, First Officer Leslie Arthur Palmer was awarded the Cross of Valour by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada. Late at night on December 27, 2004, First Officer Leslie Palmer, of the Canadian Coast Guard, braved a severe winter storm to rescue two fishermen stranded on the shores of the Grenville Channel, near Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
This rescue was one of 700 rescues in which Palmer has been involved.
