About Loeb Oppenheim, zu Worms
It is almost completely certain that the Rivke Serle Rebekka Sarah Hakohen/Cahen-Katz and http://www.steinheim-institut.de/cgi-bin/epidat?id=ffb-760 who is Meir haCohen’s daughter is not the one who is the widow of Loeb Oppenheim and wife or widow of Amschel Storch. There are three reasons for this. First of all, it would be odd for her sons not to be receiving money from her estate until 1583 if she had died as early as January of 1579. Second, the description of Rivke Serle on the gravestone certainly does not sound like it applies to a woman who had been married to two gaonim. Last, but most important, the name Meir is never used for any of her descendants, in spite of their being so many. Josef of the weissen Loewen names a son Meir in honor of his father-in-law, but that is the only one, ever. The people who put Sorlin into Geni as the daughter of Meir haCohen were just reacting to a very iffy idea by Ettlinger where he writes, surrounded by question marks, that he wonders if that grave might be Sorlin’s. But everything we have seen since then points to it being someone else.
